NACS Exchange

Introduction

NACS offers the Microsoft Exchange platform to departments who desire a feature-rich environment which integrates email, calendar and group communications. Clients gain rich and efficient access—to e-mail, calendars, attachments, contacts, and more—no matter where they are or what type of device they are using, without burdening local IT resources.

Central Services, Local Freedom

NACS manages, so you don't have to:

Software administration, including maintenance and patching
Server hardware, replacements and upgrades

24x7 monitoring and service response

Our servers are housed in the Academic Data Center, an environment with the proper power and cooling infrastructure to keep servers happy.

Standards-based POP/IMAP/SMTP clients

Active Directory

NACS' Exchange service is housed in a dedicated Active Directory forest, AD.UCI.EDU. Departments are allocated an "OU" container and given complete administrative purvey over that container; departmental IT staff are free to administer their user and computer objects as needed, while NACS takes care of the Exchange environment.
